My team gave me uncomfortable feedback this week.
Said I overuse the phrase, “Let me think about it.”
They said they want more doing.

We have some big decisions to make.
Like whether to open another office.
They want more than, “I’ll think about it.”
They said they want to hear:
1) what I’m thinking
and, most important,
2) what I’m going to do.
Because my actions affect the business — and therefore all of us.
They were right to call me on my philosophizing.
I need to change how I lead.
Need to follow the advice of the stoic philosopher Epictetus:
“Don’t explain your philosophy. Embody it.”
I’m not just going to think about it.
I’m going to do it.
